Cadence Housing CIC Plymouth offers a staffed house where residents can feel at home and feel safe. This will be the starting point for engagement in 12 step recovery.
We manage a community of 5 residents all participating in mutual aid recovery. We believe the best way to understand the recovery process is to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who have already embarked on the recovery journey.
We provide weekly House meetings, 1:1 sessions for all residents, to discuss any difficulties they are experiencing. Recreational activities and voluntary work is supported and encouraged. We will support residents, who are ready to move on, to find the best possible accommodation.
At Cadence Housing CIC client safety is our top priority. This is ensured by intensive house management and regular 1-1 sessions. Making sure that residents engage with the recovery process helps to ensure the house is a friendly, warm environment.

We believe the best way to help those struggling with addiction is to find purpose and connection. We manage the house with compassion and also with boundaries to keep everyone safe. We believe everyone deserves a chance at recovery and believe everyone has the ability to recover.
We believe that a recovery journey helps people to live a life free from addiction and allows individuals to build the positive relationships with, family and friends, connecting them to the wider local community through support and peer led activity.
The home is non-smoking and follow a strict no alcohol or drug policy, including prescription medication which is not prescribed to the client. We implement a zero-tolerance towards aggressive or abusive behavior and we will evict residents who represent a significant threat to other clients or staff.
We will help put you in touch with the best support network in order to give you everything you need to recover and live a successful, independent life that is addiction free.

We help you access doctors, counselling, mental health support, and dental care to stay healthy and supported.

We assist with benefit forms, appointments, and wellbeing services, ensuring you’re never navigating important steps alone.

We encourage involvement in peer-led recovery groups, building daily routine, confidence, and supportive community connections.

We support you in staying connected with addiction treatment, attending appointments, and working towards sustained recovery.

We help explore training, courses, and learning opportunities to build confidence, purpose, and future independence.
After the initial first contact is made, an assessment is carried out on each candidate in order to gauge suitability for our sober living house. During the assessment stage the candidate may feel free to ask any questions or clarify any concerns they may have prior to entering our services.
We accept referrals from professionals and support workers. We also accept self referrals.
